We are proud and delighted to announce that The Autism Apprentice CIC have been chosen by the panel as Winner of this years Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards.  Sarah and Odette attended the awards ceremony on Friday 20th October and were surprised to receive a second award as overall Champion in the category of Wellbeing Staff.  

The Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards is an annual event to showcase the people, organisations and initiatives that help us cope with life. The event’s three themes are: mental health; wellbeing; kindness and compassion. Thank you to our amazing team, volunteers, supporters and funders. We couldn't do what we do without their support.


Our coffee morning dates for January are:

  • Tues 6th Feb 11am-2pm
  • Thur 15th Feb 10am-1pm
  • Tues 20th Feb 10:30am-1pm
  • Wed 28th Feb 11am-2pm

They will be at The Sheppey Hall, Main Rd, Queenborough ME11 5DL and are free to attend for families living in Swale.

In addition to the support around caring for a child with Autism, entry into education (EHCP) and health & wellbeing the sessions will provide additional support on accessing financial support / benefits / family budgets etc.

No booking required, just turn up. Children not in school are welcome to accompany but parents / carers are responsible for them at all times.

We are happy to announce the next date for our Youth Club. 

These will be held at Sheppey United FC, Holm Park, Queenborough Road, ME12 3DB

10am - 11:30am on the following dates:

  • Sat 13th January
  • Sat 27th January
  • Sat 17th February
  • Sat 2nd March
  • Sat 23rd March

We will have VR-Headsets, Board Games, LEGO, Crafts and Table Tennis, indoor football. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase at a subsidised cost.

This is open to young people living in Swale aged 11-19 years. 

Numbers are limited so booking is essential. Please email to book your place.

We understand that for many reasons, the only free time you have may be evenings so, if you need some advice you can now call us.

You can call 0300 011 0300 between 6.30 - 7.30pm and each week we will advertise the days the phoneline will be open on our Facebook page.


Come and walk and chat with members of the team. A great way to blow away some cobwebs and talk about all things autism. Meeting at Minster sea front, Isle of Sheppey 10:30am-12:30pm on the following dates:

    On Tuesday 19th March at 7pm we are being joined by Stella Parkinson, Occupational Therapist to talk about All Things Sensory! If you came to our SEN information day last year, you may have met her there.

    There will be the opportunity to ask questions at the end. Please email any questions to us.

    This will be taking place via zoom and is just £5.  It is open to families and professionals countrywide.
