Parenting a child with additional needs can be daunting and feel overwhelming . Many parents report that they receive a diagnosis and are left to fend for themselves.

We understand this frustration and feeling of loss and desperation.

We run programmes to help you at differing stages:

  • Beginning the autism journey, funded by KCC Early Help grant.  Support for families/carers who have a young person not yet diagnosed with autism and who live in the Sittingbourne or Sheppey area. Running until April 2021, a waiting list may operate in times of high demand.
  • Supporting the autism family - a 6 week programme focusing on family support and parental well-being. This programme is funded by Kent Community Foundation, The Vanquis Social Impact Fund (Kent and Medway) and in conjunction with Maidstone & Mid Kent Mind.
  • This programme is now full, however, we are hoping to roll this out throughout Kent (subject to funding)

We apply for grant funding in order to run these workshops and therefore keep cost to a minimum, free when possible.
